NDIS Plan Management

Once you have an NDIS plan, you may choose to manage the funds yourself, have them managed by the NDIA (known as an agency-managed plan), or you may appoint a plan manager.

You can pick your own plan manager; they are not allocated to you.

When you choose to have your funds plan managed, your plan manager will process your invoices through the NDIA and will make sure your providers are paid promptly.

With plan managed funds, you also have the freedom to choose either registered or unregistered providers to deliver your supports and services.

The choice of managing the funds in your NDIS plan is entirely up to you.

No, this is outside the scope of plan management provider services, but we can point you in the direction of who to contact if you have questions or concerns about your plan.

No. the role of a plan manager does not include making decisions on whether your supports or services are ‘reasonable and necessary’.

However, if we are concerned that an invoice you provide does not meet the NDIS list of approved supports and services we will let you know.

The NDIS publishes the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. This lists the price limits that apply for specific supports.

If you choose AAHS as your plan manager, we will sign a Service Agreement with you and you can add us as a My Provider in PACE so we have access to your plan information and can start processing invoices on your behalf.

If you wish to change your Plan Manager you can do so at any time, you don’t need to wait for the end of your current plan period.

You can let the NDIS team member know that you would like a plan manager when you have your planning meeting. If you’re currently mid-plan, call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 and chat to them about how to make the change.

Once you select your plan manager, you will need to add them as a My Provider in the NDIS portal.
